Looking for gluten free and celiac safe options in Ptown? I got you covered from breakfast to snacks to dinner!
A real hidden gem for dinner (so much so I ate dinner there twice in five days) is The Club. With waterfront views and fun kitschy décor this place was great! I was most excited when they brought us gluten free cheesy bread rolls and olive oil, parm and aioli options to dip them in. My two favorite dishes on the menu were the cheese pizza with mozzarella, tomato and basil and the Quinoa fritter salad. The Quinoa fritters were absolutely delicious and came with an exquisite tomato, cucumber and onion salad. The servers both times were very reassuring about the precautions they take in the kitchen to ensure it’s safe. Can’t wait to go back here!
Ciro and Sal’s is another great option for dinner and perfect for a romantic date night. The patio and garden gazebo is really pretty at night so I recommend you get an outside table! My go tos there are the insalata di casa which is an iceberg lettuce with a yummy vinaigrette and the the gluten free pasta with pesto. Big portions here so I usually end up taking some pasta home.
Far Land Provisions is the best place to grab a tasty made to order gluten free sandwich. Perfect to put in a cooler and take to the beach each day or just eat in at this cute place. I got a custom sandwich here every day on the trip and popped it in my beach bag to enjoy by the ocean. With locally sourced ingredients its no wonder this place won a bunch of “best cape cod life” awards!
Mac’s is probably the most famous gluten free place to eat in ptown since it has dedicated fryers! Hello french fries and onion rings that are safe to eat. Even if seafood isn’t your thing (not mine) this Fish house has tons of gluten free options. Fishy options include fish and chips, tacos, oysters, scallops, lobster rolls and shrimp.
Box lunch has a few locations on the cape and makes a really satisfying breakfast roll! Lots of options to add with your eggs like cheese, veggies and meats wrapped up in a gluten free roll. This place is also perfect for a quick lunch.
Joe Coffee is a cute coffee shop with a great vibe! Whether you grab and go or sit outside and people watch you can get a yummy gluten free coffee cake slice or brownie with your coffee. The owner explained they get their GF items from Modern Pastry Shop in Boston.
Health Food Bar had flavorful green juices and smoothies which are perfect after a day in the sun! They also had GF Acai bowls and over night oats!
Hope you get to try some of these fun restaurants and enjoy your time on the cape! To keep in touch around wellness and inspiratoin head over to my instagram.
Thank you so much for posting. I just got back from Sandwich and I also have celiac with cross contamination being a problem too. I am so happy to see you recommendations. I did go to Macs and it felt so safe and I got the onion rings which made me so very happy. I can’t even remember when was the last time I had onion rings so it was super special for me. I can’t wait to go back and try some of your recommendations.
Mac’s is great! Glad you found it helpful!
